What? Twice in the same spot? But they promised...

.

Rats. We had gone fifteen months since Richard had a seizure and were starting to hope it had been a one-zap wonder.

Not so.

He's OK, should be out of hospital in an hour or two, but it doesn't half cut your plans for the afternoon to bits.

  5. I'm sorry Lee but who is Richard? Your son? A seizure?
    Ruined your plans?
Thats a little callous and harsh isn't it?
Thats terrible Lee but I guess you have to find some humour in life's dramas.
I tend to look at the art in the hospital, helps me cope.
I hope he will be OK. ♡

  6. I dont know who Richard is however if there is a magic fairy here is my wish

I wish that everyone in hospital gets home soon. The place where they make people better can feel bewildering. Best wishes Blu

  18. Lee , I am sorry to hear about Richard.
I too did not know he was your son , so this is more troubling. As a parent you just want to protect and stop all pain .
One thing I will say is this - I have learnt over the years that if you do not like his doctor's or think they are doing enough - get a second opinion . Sometimes it ends up to be the best thing you have done! I personally know this to be true.
    Hugs.

  19. That's a bugger. Hard not to worry... I guess Margaret will be doing that!
After my son's EEG showed Temporal Lobe Epilepsy, the neurologist told us these stats: 1/3 patients cannot be controlled by meds, 1/3 will 'grow out of it' and 1/3 will remain on meds for life. The odds looked pretty bad to me... but so far the meds are controlling it well. Now, just to hope he grows out of it...
Hope Richard's EEG goes ok, or at least gives you some solid answers. HATE not knowing.
