Books and chaos.

.

Avus suggested posting pictures of our bookcases. I am not sure what this will reveal about me but here goes.

Above, neat and sort of orderly, is the book pile, not really a case, to the left of me, within easy reach.

And here, in all its chaotic glory, is the bookcase to the right of me. Both photos are 'as is', when Avus suggested the post. If you click on the photos they will enlarge.

Make of it what you will!

  9. I like the look of that bookshelf. I feel like I could spend all day just sitting on the floor by the shelf, reading book after book and drinking iced tea.

  12. Well-read books, that's more important. Mine looks much more orderly but dusty too..the last time I touches them was 2 years ago..heck.

  13. OMG! A KINDRED SOUL!! I so LOVE the fact that the books overwhelm the space, because, in my experience, that is what books do best. How do some people manage to control them? THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THESE PICS!!!!

  14. i love bookcases and seeing what kind of books people collect. yours looks like a major artery in your life, a happy gathering place.

i do have one qt. - WHO dusts this bookcase?! what a project that must be with the creative stacking! :))

i am a bit OCD...my books are placed with a general consideration to genre and a major consideration to height!

that was great fun - enjoyed the little view into your life.

  16. Both lots of books look wonderful to me. I love books to be used, & look as if they are read. Of course Gom comes along & spoils my happy mess, by tidying it all up!
