Just back from visiting our glorious capital, Canberra for a few days.

The driver for the visit was the presence of an exhibit of paintings from Paris' Musée D'Orsay; a wonderful collection of impressionist art.

  3. I got to see that painting once, and was astounded at the depth, the jewel-like quality...
I really wanted to recreate it, but have yet to be successful doing so.

  6. Impressionist art is pleasing to the eye and always looks like the artist made a lot of detailed effort.

  7. Nice.

Of course its summer in your neck of the woods ... easy to get about when the sun shines.

Not so easy here ... weather misbehaving ... air traffic controllers holding the country to ransom for a 6% salary increase when everyone else is taking pay cuts ... government sitting on their bums waiting for a miracle ... psychotic dogs breaking limbs ... wayward offspring getting themselves mugged ...

But I'm glad you're having a good time. Really.
