Just back from visiting our glorious capital, Canberra for a few days.

The driver for the visit was the presence of an exhibit of paintings from Paris' Musée D'Orsay; a wonderful collection of impressionist art.

Highlights of the trip - the Musée D'Orsay exhibit, the National Portrait Gallery, the High Court, new and old Parliament Houses, a number of lovely meals, and Qantas loosing our suitcase for the second time.

Now, to fight through the mail, real and e,...

  1. Very nice! Worth the drive, I'd say.

  2. Loosing your suitcase on what? Is it a bit wild?

  3. I got to see that painting once, and was astounded at the depth, the jewel-like quality...
I really wanted to recreate it, but have yet to be successful doing so.

  4. beautiful painting

    now i think i know...

  5. Where did your luggage go to? Did it see different pictures?

  6. Impressionist art is pleasing to the eye and always looks like the artist made a lot of detailed effort.

  7. Nice.

Of course its summer in your neck of the woods ... easy to get about when the sun shines.

Not so easy here ... weather misbehaving ... air traffic controllers holding the country to ransom for a 6% salary increase when everyone else is taking pay cuts ... government sitting on their bums waiting for a miracle ... psychotic dogs breaking limbs ... wayward offspring getting themselves mugged ...

But I'm glad you're having a good time. Really.

  8. Well done Quantas! Still, seeing such gorgeous paintings makes up for it!
