It's not really until you are feeling less than happy with the world that you realise how often the little tartlets at the various supermarket checkouts say "Have a nice day".
I suppose it has become another of those mindless phrases that we humans use to avoid actually talking to one another. (Like "how do you do" - I wonder if the questioner would really like to hear a truthful answer, at length?)
It has become such a mindless comment. Slaps have almost been the result, on really bad days.
