Machu Pichu is everything you have been told it is. We were there this morning (5:30am bus!) and we were in the clouds for some time before they started to lift.
have a friend that did this trip, and, due to his cerebral palsy and the fact that he would occasionally turn a sharp fast left instead of right (if you're up there, you know the catstrophe that could be) his guides actually strapped him yup in a carrying sling and carried him up. All the way up. And the videos he took of the event are scary enough to cure me of ever wanting to attempt this, myself.
Oh? I didn't mention I was afraid of heights? Hard to believe I used to strap a parachute on and jump from perfectly good airplanes, eh?
Pretty places
