A life's work

It's like, at the end, there's this surprise quiz: Am I proud of me?
I gave my life to become the person I am right now.
Was it worth what I paid?

-Richard Bach, writer (1936- )

Enjoy your blog which I located while waiting for Lee to post Chapter 12, I was thrilled to see Chapter 12 appear this morning.
Being a home spun gardener, I really liked Trojan Horse-food. I hope it does not become the problem that my confederate violets became.

Sorry I looked at your other sites. Makes this American ask"DOES LEE KENNEDY THINK HE COULD HAVE DONE A BETTER JOB THAN GEORGE BUSH?" Now put yourself in his place with his advisers and give an honest answer.
No I didn't think you could.

  3. I wonder why he asks himself that question?
I suppose we never see ourselves as others see us.

  4. Sorry to upset you, Lady Di Tn. The very reason I have separate blogs for sex, religion & politics is so that I can be socially polite with those who come to A Curate's Egg for a cup of tea and a chat but can still shake a frustrated fist at a largely uncaring world at the other sites on less genteel subjects. That gives me a let out for my feelings. Your let out is that you don't have to go there. I will answer your question at the Odd Angry Squawk site, probably over the weekend. Hint: the answer will be largely 'yes'. But please, you are most welcome at this blog; I always behave myself here. Promise.

  5. I love the idea of the different rooms. I imagined once a group blog that would be a house, with all sorts of rooms and closets and windows to let ideas collect themselves, with a number of people participating. Usually when I come here I just go to the main page, the parlour I'd imagine, or I don't know what you would call it, or maybe the kitchen table? On occasion, I do stray into the other rooms.

  6. Well let's hope so, because when it is all lived and done, it wasn't a dress rehearsal.

I forgot to be quite (MIND MY MANNERS)because "Does it really matter in the long run of things"
I will check out your reply on the other site, Curious Kitty.
I guess I feel somewhat akin to him as I was elected President of the Shop for two years and not everything is our fault. I have 6 months 16 days left and I am sure George is counting too.

  8. I love the writings of Richard Bach and have many of his books amongst my huge collection of books!

Somehow I can't quite picture you sitting with your pinky cocked sipping genteely on tea, Lee! ;)
