Ye Gods!

I have been scanning some photos from my parents album and found this one of me and my mother, circa 1978.

Mum's the one without the beard.

  1. oh my! this is a fabulous photo to share! as you and i are the same age (i think), i can deduce that you were around 24 years old in this photo. 10 years from now, my son will be that age. i can only hope he looks as happy and i look as proud. thanks for sharing this sunburst of an image!

  2. Nice beard...I'm glad you're not afraid to show your feminine side, Lee!

  3. Ah, 1978 (or thereabouts) I remember that! I too have those embarrassing shots - beard, long hair, flared trousers. For a little while we males went mad and it was quite lovely!

  4. The eyes are the same :)
Was it your hippy years? Amazing to see the red tint in your hair. Your mum looks to young to be mum of an adult son!

  5. Amazing how we change without realizing it... you and mum have the same smiling gaze.

I'm going to have to search the archives for a 70s pic.

  7. I received a pic from a friend showing a group of us in 1999. Just 8 years ago and we all look so dated!

What a lovely picture of you and your mother!

  13. Gad zooks that is a lot of hair........you weren't wasting your money on razors back then, I see. haha I am trying to remember the 70's.....hmmmmmmmm, not much success, 78 was right after I had my son Scott was born. I was working at the bank, and living on the lake.....busy times. My daughter calls the 70's, "vintage". haha
