After a fascinating three days on the Trans Siberian Train, we are in Moscow. Unfortunately this computer does not allow memory sticks so photos will have to wait.
The big surprise for me was that the train is electric all the way. (The Beijing to Irkutsk line was diesel.)
The countryside changed markedly as we moved west - the birch forests gained leaves: bare in Siberia but quite lush in Moscow.
Anyway, more anon. We are heading to Red Square now...
