.
In response to a perceived increase violent attacks on Indians in Melbourne, group in started a 'movement' called "Vindaloo against Violence" - support your local Indian restaurant on February 24th. Indirectly and directly showing support to the local Indian community.
Well, a Lamb Masala and a Beef Kashmiri later, I can report that it was a great success.
And I will drive the admin people wild with the smell of curries tomorrow at lunch time.
Simple pleasures.

Oh, smashing shot, Curruthers!
.
A leisurely lunch up at the local oval watching district cricket.
Champagne, cold chicken, grapes, cakes, coffee in the shade of a tree.
No idea who was playing, it didn't matter much. We cheered both sides on with appropriate words of support: "Oh, smashing shot, Curruthers!", "Damn fine catch, Witherspoon!".
Simple pleasures.

Valentine's Day
.
I hope everyone had a happy Valentine's Day.
Yes, I know it is a commercial rip-off and rampant exploitation but we don't buy gifts, just have a nice meal. Not that we need an excuse for that.
It is also, by pure coincidence, our half-anniversary.
And the Kookaburra? There was one sitting on a power pole across from our bedroom window, laughing as we sat in bed drinking the first coffee of the day.
Laughing with us, not at us, I hope.
