Melbourne Weather

It is said that if you don't like Melbourne's weather, wait a minute.

Google has taken this to heart.

What follows are a few of its predictions for today's weather and the coming three days. All taken from iGoogle weather gizmo.

Today.

I can assure you that we did not have snow in Melbourne today.

  1. I'm guessing that #1 would be OK, #3 really OK and #2 an interesting day for the history books.

    For what it's worth, I heard a similar news cast, once.
    Started with windy and about 3"-5" of snow, went to 5"-7" snow and windy, by afternoon it was high winds expected and as much as 8" of snow, by three in the afternoon, they called for 12"-16" and 30 MPH ...
    End of the day it was the Blizzard of 78, 23" of snow with drifts that covered houses.

    I buckled down in the apartment for three days (lazy sod that I am) and watched TV.

  2. Looks a bit like the normal Fall/Spring forecasts around here. It has historically gone in a single day from 72F and clear to -20F full on blizzard with 3 feet of snow. It's the reason weather people transfer to California where the only decision is clear or cloudy. {*grin*}

  3. Clear evidence for the "Many Worlds" theory.

    "if you don't like the weather, just wait".... it'll change.
