Wholly smoke!

.

Hong Kong airport, 5pm last Friday.

Surreal lighting, sunlight through smog.

No wonder Chinese people are amazed at the colour of the sky when they come to Melbourne.

Yes, it is meant to be blue.

  1. Very pretty colours but I think breathing might be a problem.

  2. It's appalling and very sad. Terrible for asthmatics.

  3. Lee, you might find this intriguing, it's about the dirtiest and cleanest places in the world, and how the people live there. Fascinating stuff.

  4. Thanks Celia, interesting article. Amused that they try to draw a link between pollution and community spirit!

  5. Yes, very unscientific of them. :)

Correlation does not equal causation, which they seem to forget in a lot of the so called "health studies" reported in the news these days. But I will stop now and not climb up on that soapbox.. :)

  6. Yes, there is a strong positive correlation between eating ice-cream and being bitten by a shark, too.

Might have something to do with both happening in summer.

  7. It's not Melbourne either. Perhaps it's a new colour - Chinese Blue?
