I'll be the xylophone...

.

The lyrics, in part, of the Foundation's song "Build me up Buttercup" go:

(Hey, hey, hey!) Baby, baby, try to find
(Hey, hey, hey!) A little time and I'll make you mine
(Hey, hey, hey!) I'll be home
I'll be beside the phone waiting for you
Ooo-oo-ooo, ooo-oo-ooo

But, no matter how often I listen to it, I am sure they are saying:

I'll be the xylophone waiting for you

Ooo-oo-ooo-dear.

There is a song with they lyrics "like animals" and I use to sing "like canibals" until hubby heard me and corrected me.

Um, yes, well.

If I wanted to talk to you, could I call you on your xylophone?

There's a Bathroom on the Right, by Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Bad Dog Boogaloo, Ringo Starr

and Poor Danny Ohio, by Crosby, Stills, Nash , and Young

I got a new hearing aid. It cost me a thousand dollars.
(Really? What kind is it?)
Oh, about 2:45 PM

I spent years thinking there was a group called Steel Ice Band, as my radio had clearly and repeatedly told me. When I saw them on TV, they had changed their name to Steeleye Span.
