i'll bet the guy pictured on the tightrope would find working in an office five days a week terrifying. i am SOOOOOOO glad it's friday. what an exhausting, challenging week at work. i often feel as though i'm walking a tightrope there now being a middle manager. now i'm hearing the stevie ray vaughn song with the phrase "walking the tightrope" running through my head and it will probably be there all day. not a bad way to go into my day. thanks for the smile. big hugs, snowsparkle
....not to flash my contrary at it and all, but, how about we crawl across, using hands, knees, feet and legs?
Still, I ain't going! I'm afraid of heights! (yeah, even if I WAS in airborne in the army and also climed up twenty feet of scaffolding and then on top of ten foot ladders at the top of that....I don't do ANY of that anymore.) (I figure my number's up on the high stuff!)
but how exhilarating to have the skill, focus and ability to dance that particular dance! there would be no doubt that one was living in the moment, LOL!
ah well. It's like summiting, I bet. Most people don't have the craving. Those that do can't resist.
Me, I'll watch from the bank. Peeping between fingers. No - I probably couldn't bear to watch.
Yeah but not everyone who doesn't cross Niagara on a tightrope is clever are they? It's a bit like the thing about all boys can't fly all birds can't fly therefore all boys are birds, or whatever it is. Never mind,it's a good picture, the bloke looks very relaxed. Talking of skill and intelligence and the lack thereof, thanks for your comment on depth of field which led me to make an effort to redress my ignorance. I replied to it over there!
ps, also enjoyed the ice cream vote. Is this going to be a regular feature? A simple choice between vanilla and chocolate I'd go for chocolate, but am also partial to toffee types, coconut with lime sorbet, and lemon sorbet dosed with vodka (colonel)...mmm!
You'd have to be unbalanced to do that.
ReplyDeleteI love this and I know just the person to say it to!!
ReplyDeleteErgo, all intelligent people are a little unbalanced. QED.
ReplyDeleteThis, then, brings us to the definitive definition of "a little unbalanced".
I'm teetering on this one ...
That makes us the intelligents right?

ReplyDeleteI suppose I have more intelligence than skill.
ReplyDeletephew - all along I thought I was just a total wuss!

How true! I'm unbalanced...I think...I waver between whether I am or not!

ReplyDeleteLucy: Yes, I will leave the poll there and try to have a different one each weekend.
ReplyDeleteLOL!
ReplyDeleteor at least 'intelligence' is the ability to get a vicarious thrill from someone else doing it for you...
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a great week!
