However, I remember back in 1984 we had temperatures to match these we're presently experiencing, and less. We were living at Coolum on the Sunshine Coast at the time and sleet fell. Sleet has not yet fallen in Coolum during this burst of coldness, but it could very well occur tomorrow because the temps are supposed to be even lower again. It's winter, after all...these temps aren't abnormal.
It's a bit nippy up this way, too, at present.
